Strictly no, we do accept associate members, but there is probably little point in joining the SOA and paying money if you don't own a Southerly.

I can give you access to the "open access" area of our web forum, which includes a sub forum for buying related questions, free of change. Vist www.soa-forum.org.uk/forum and follow the registration link.

Great site for harbour pilotage, also have online access to a huge range of charts for a small subscription. Once you have joined, there is also an offer of a DVD containing 800+ current UKHO charts from which you can print out chartlets of specific areas.

yes, and it did take us about forty miles to get in the groove ;)))

Many thanks for putting up the photos. Particularly of Aurora naturally. Will ask my son to check if he has any of you. I think probably has, as in at least one of your shots he is earnestly reviewing a shot, and though he's more interested in 110s than flash 38s can't think what else he might have been shooting! Unfortunately, like most students, he is a little difficult to pin down

Hi Peter, we are sorting out some data protection and privacy issues, and then intend to do what you say, won't be until later this year though as we need to put something in the next magazine.

Can i suggest you have the data base (as sent out in paper form) onlune - so i can look up the owners details of southerlies i see as we go about. Sometimes the owners are in the same marina as i am, and it is a shame i cannot contact them easily.

As long as thios DB is behind the members login - there shouldn't be any problem with data protectioin
